   We'll spend the whole day at Kent, Ohio, starting with an early lunch on your own at Mike's Place.  This is a unique restaurant you will probably never forget.  You will surely find something very special on their very huge menu!

  Next, we will visit Kent State University Campus to spend some time at the Fashion Museum.. It's a collection of clothing fashions like you've never seen before.  It comes highly recommended...another unforgetable place!

  Our last stop on campus will be the May 4th Visitors Center where the event of the Ohio National Guard shooting took place in 1970.  Another event in our American History that lives in infamy!

  You won't want to miss this unforgettable trip and a chance for our old Kent State alumni to vist their old campus!

Scholarship and Boomhower

              SCHOLARSHIP 

     Scholarship 'cups' will continue to be available at our MCRTA meetings. 50/50 funds the Boomhower Grant. These have been wonderful ways to add to our scholarship and grant funds.  (We need to raise $3000 each year for these).  Contributions can be made at any time. All funds raised now will benefit our 2026 winners.  Your generosity is so appreciated.

The search is under way usually each year (if funds are availblee) for scholarship winners.   Any Medina County School graduate is eligible.  College students must be juniors or senior in the next fall and be majoring in Education.   Contact Amy Panchumarti, 330-635-1106, [email protected] or check this website under Applications. Applications must be in by May 31 of each year.


          TEACHER GRANTS

Teacher Grants are awarded to any active teachers currently teaching in Medina County schools. Applications can be downloaded below on this website (or contact Lin Crane at greglincrane@roadrunner )and must be mailed in by May 1st of each year.
